Players from Remo Stars, Shooting Stars, and Plateau United stood out in the Nigeria Premier (NPL) League matchday eight, with each club contributing two players to the Team of the Week.
The selected players include Ismaila Sodiq and Sikiru Alimi from Remo Stars, Malomo Taofeek (Shooting Stars’ captain), goalkeeper Anozie Chinedu, and Daniel Itodo and Chris Nwaeze from Plateau United. Chinedu Sunday (Lobi Stars), Mohammed Alao (Kwara United), Godwin Obaje (Rangers), Ezekiel Tamara (Bendel Insurance), and Robert Mizo (Bayelsa United) also earned spots on the list.
Recognizing their achievements, Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede was named Coach of the Week.
Looking ahead to matchday nine, the standout fixture features league leaders Lobi Stars against reigning NPFL champions Enyimba at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.
