In the Gidan Dembe neighborhood of Maiduguri, the state capital, a tragic incident occurred. Mrs. Amma Buwa, the daughter of Bukar Abacha, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly, lost her life under distressing circumstances.
Unidentified individuals allegedly strangled her to death, which sent shockwaves through the community and prompted a gathering of concerned locals who wanted to understand what had befallen the daughter of their state legislator from the Ngala Local Government Area.
The husband, according to a source who shared details with Vanguard, had left the house to attend prayers at a nearby mosque around 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday. Upon his return, he discovered his wife’s lifeless body, bound with her hands and legs behind her back, and their two-year-old child weeping beside her. He immediately reported the tragic discovery to the police.
The deceased will be laid to rest in Maiduguri this morning, as conveyed by a family source who posted this heartbreaking incident on his Facebook page but preferred not to disclose their name.
“Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.”
“Ms. Amma Buwa was killed by some hoodlums earlier today after Ishai prayer when some unknown men invaded her house after her husband left for the masjid to pray.
“Amma is the daughter of member Representing Ngala at the state House of Assembly.
“The janaiza (burial) will occur at 777 Housing Estate by 10 am in Maiduguri.
“May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he wrote.
Following the incident, the Gwange Police Division took the body to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for a thorough autopsy and further investigation.
