In a widely circulated video, a man is seen giving his young girlfriend contraception to ingest. The video, recorded on the X app by user @DAMIADENUGA, captures the man urging his partner to take the contraception, even in the presence of his friend.
As he insists that she swallows it, he communicates something in Yoruba to his friend, which translates to “if she dares to vomit the drug, she’ll have to explain the pregnancy’s owner to him.”
This act has provoked outrage among many, with questions arising about why the man couldn’t exercise self-control and instead resorted to pressuring her to use contraception.
